Styling & Retouching

We make sure that no sign of damage to any edges or corners of the packaging shows up in the final image, and ensure that the product is showcased beautifully, without any disruptive elements. This includes the removal of dust, small scratches or dents. Finally, we align the product image perfectly, after which it is ready to be used.

In our application you will find the following four options under “Styling & Retouch”:

Straighten

Do you want to make clothes or another product look more neat? Then choose Styling fashion or Styling product. Your image will automatically be rectified. If your image is not big enough for your layout, choose place images. Then we will create extra ‘space’ for you. If your images are not completely straight, choose Straighten. Styling & Retouch is offered in combination with a clipping operation.

Styling fashion

This option is used for clothing. We edit the image so that the item is showcased as the designer intended it. It can be hard to style clothing items perfectly on the day of the shoot. Ugly folds and wrinkles tend to remain visible. We minimise these disruptive elements and edit the image to make the item appear symmetrical. We also align it properly. This type of post-processing saves time during the actual shoot, and often actually produces better end results.

Place images

Place images is a common image processing operation. Sometimes, an existing image is not suitable for being used horizontally, or is just shy of being tall enough. In that case, the Studio-Online specialists can adjust the height or width of the image. We generate additional image material to make up the difference and enable you to use the image in the desired application. This is a very common image processing operation for magazines, and one that we perform for many of our magazine clients on a daily basis. It is also becoming increasingly common for online or mobile purposes, such as when clients want to use stock images or newly photographed images that do not meet the dimension requirements.

Styling product

This option is used for products. We remove dust, small scratches or dents and ensure that the product is showcased beautifully, without any disruptive elements. Finally, we align the product image perfectly, after which it is ready to be used.

Straighten

Sometimes it happens that a product is photographed just a little skewed. This is of course disturbing in a folder or webshop. That is why we easily straighten product images. Your products look a lot neater when they are straight. This is a simple job with great results.
