Product photography is about much more than just producing images. The objective here is to reinforce the brand via photography. Thanks to our extensive experience with photography and image processing, we are perfectly equipped for realising product photography for large clients. What is product photography?

Product photography is capturing products on photo. But this sounds simpler than it really is. It takes a lot of work to make a product stand out as well as possible. After all, it must clearly show what the product is and it must be attractive to potential customers.

Regular or high-end?

In product photography, a distinction is often made between regular product photography and high-end product photography.
The first category is mainly about providing more clarity about the product, with the second the setting and the atmosphere it evokes are of great importance. In both cases you will receive an attractive photo to show your product to your customers.

Different types of product photography

There are many ways in which you can visualize your products. There is a type of photo that fits exactly for every product and every purpose.

Packshot

The visually simplest form of product photography. The product is the only attention with a pack shot. The product will be photographed against a white background to bring out the appearance at best. In addition, small irregularities are often eliminated in the finishing process.

Still life product photo

This variant is still about showing the product as completely as possible, but there is more possible in terms of style and effects. For example, the background or the lighting can be adjusted in favor of the product. There is also more room for creativity with regard to the product itself, such as the way or where it is placed.

Ambience image or lifestyle shot

If you want to give more emphasis to the feeling that the product evokes or should evoke, an ambience image is ideal. We photograph the product against a backdrop, in an appropriate setting. These “action images” of the product can greatly influence how people view the product. This form is less suitable for web shops, unless you combine it with packshots that provide more clarity.

Close up

A close-up photo is ideal to highlight specific characteristics of a product. By zooming in, you can show customers even better how a product works, or you can emphasize its quality or beauty. A professional photographer can prominently display every possible detail with his high-quality equipment.

360 degree product photo

The product can be viewed all around. For this, the photographer takes a large number of photos of the product on a rotating disk. In most cases, the customer can manually rotate and zoom in the photo on the site. This way, no corner of the product is left unexposed and your customers get a very complete picture.

How do we make a product photo?

We draw up a detailed plan in close collaboration with our clients, outlining how to maintain a consistent look and brand recognisability, even when the photography and editing will be taking place spaced out over time, at many different separate occasions. 1. Briefing

Before we can start taking your product photo, we need to know a few things. What kind of product is it, what kind of photo do you want, how many photos per product do you want and what is the purpose of the photo? By answering these questions, we get an idea of what needs to be done and we can give you an indication of the costs.

2. Action plan

Now that we have an idea, we would like to discuss the next steps. That way you can further explain what you have in mind and we can share our vision, so that we come to the best approach for photographing your product.

3. Photographing

We can start to photograph the product(s). Our photographers work very professionally and they shoot the photos exactly as we have agreed. The photos are taken in our professionally furnished studio or at your location. In both cases, we ensure that the setting is optimal.

4. Photo editing

We edit the photos of the product so that they look nice and neat and have the right effects. For image editing, we have a professional team that gives the photo the right "finishing touch". As a result, we do not have to outsource the work and we can deliver you a completed result in a short period of time.

5. Delivery

When the photo is completed, we will send it to you. We send the photo or photos in different formats, so that you can use them for different purposes. You are of course always free to discuss the end result in case you're not fully happy with it. In that case, we would be happy to consult with you to see how we can solve this.
